Factory Layout Redesign

The client approached us to design and develop a new factory layout from an existing empty portal frame structure warehouse into a fully operational packing factory. The design has included the installation of a new food grade area, laying out 15 production lines, new offices and staff areas.

After 3D scanning the building we were able to build a millimeter accurate Revit model for the client to send to their suppliers. We have then used this to conceptualise, optioneer and develop ergonomic layouts that would provide optimal flow of materials, goods and people. To aid this process we have produced 3D visuals at each design stage using both Revit and Twinmotion to illustrate the new staff areas as well as new production lines in the building. In the coming months this will then be developed from an optioneered concept, to a detailed design and then into construction supported by our team.
