Design Consultancy

We elevate your concepts into precision-engineered reality. Our design team transforms rough sketches and ideas into comprehensive, professional-grade technical drawings and models. Using cutting-edge technology and industry-standard software, we deliver meticulously detailed 2D and 3D designs that meet regulatory requirements while optimising for functionality and cost-effectiveness. Our collaborative approach ensures your vision remains intact throughout the technical translation process.

As an established AEC consultancy we cover large scale architectural planning through to a wide range of bespoke structural and mechanical solutions. Whether it’s routing underground pipework and ducting on-site, designing the layout of your factory to maximise its efficiency or 3D modelling a brand new building AEC covers it all – and so do we.

With backgrounds across Civil, Mechanical, and Structural Engineering as well as Architecture our team have experience with the following to name a few:

  • Factory Layout Design
  • Bespoke Structural solutions including Steelwork Design
  • Mechanical and Process Design
  • Architectural Design

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is quickly becoming the industry standard for construction projects. Not only does it provide a digital representation of a building project, but it also allows for a greater level of collaboration between design teams, architects, engineers and contractors within the design and build environment.

BIM gives us the ability to fully model your building or project to varying levels of detail. Doors, windows, lighting, drainage, HVAC, utilities and facilities can all be designed and drawn so that:

  • Your building can be built: BIM is used to create designs and plans – ie steel infrastructure and concrete volumes.
  • It can be visualised: your workplace needs to be safe, it needs to be ergonomic and it needs to be efficient. BIM can be used in the planning stage for tasks such as reviewing an area for lighting, segregation of pedestrians and traffic, and the throughput of raw materials through the workplace.

Quite simply, the model-based approach improves the efficiency of your project. Leading to an increase in productivity, a reduction in overall time spent and, as a result, often significant cost savings for your business.

Point Cloud technology allows us to capture a 3D laser scan of anything from a single piece of equipment to an entire building. We use our in house advanced precision imaging Leica Scanner to collect 680 000 points a second from the surfaces of buildings, rooms or objects with every scan to create a pin point accurate model of your space or object. This quick scanning process combines distance measurements and photospheres in a way that minimises disruption on site without compromising on quality.

This technology has a huge variety of applications. A Point Cloud scan can allow you to walk around a visual reconstruction of your building and it allows for a detailed design to exactly match your existing facilities. This data can also be packaged and issued to your suppliers and manufacturers to negate the further need for site surveys.

Our design team elevates initial ideas and concepts into comprehensive, professional technical drawings and BIM models. Whether that is drafting your entire site from scratch or adding specific design details for a new project we have the expertise to carry out the necessary drawings.

Our diverse team are able to provide expertise across a range of construction projects and we are able to offer services including the following:

  • 2D and 3D Layouts
  • MEP coordination drawings
  • As-installed drawings of existing and newly built construction
  • Steelwork layout and fabrication drawings
  • Vehicle Tracking

Over the years we have helped a number of clients by supplying their engineering departments with design engineering support, this caters to your specific requirements whilst remaining flexible.

Whether it’s multiple designers full-time updating records and drawings during a large overhaul, or making sure that the design of the site stays up-to-date part time, our team can fit around you either on site or remotely.

We have a wide range of experience in handling domestic, industrial and commercial properties all over the country, including listed, protected and retrospective applications. We can handle any or all parts of the application for your new or renovated building.

Following on from the initial consultation, the feasibility of your project can be discussed. With years of experience of draughting, submitting planning permission and building control applications, we are perfectly placed to advise you on the practicality of your application and of the likely outcome. Once we have completed a comprehensive site survey, all of the required drawings and documents will be produced to local authority standards and can be submitted on your behalf.

Project Delivery

Our project delivery specialists work in perfect synchronisation with our design team, providing end-to-end management of your technical construction needs. Beyond traditional design services, we offer flexible support models—from full-time on-site presence to remote consultation—that integrate seamlessly with your existing operations. This unified approach ensures immediate access to technical expertise when challenges arise, maintaining project momentum while adhering to timelines and budgets. Let us tailor our project management resources to your specific requirements, meeting you exactly where you need us.

We like to go beyond Project Management, defining our team as Technical Project Managers; involved at the engineering at every stage, we believe that to be able to run and deliver a project to the best of our ability, it benefits both ourselves and our clients for us to technically understand the works undertaken, as well as managing program, budget, and relationships throughout the network of contractors and clients.

All of our Project Team have a hybrid workflow, ensuring that involvement on site is a fundamental principle of our process. Working with our contractors closely day to day so that we can fully understand how to proceed instead of working remotely, we believe that engaging with our clients and contractors at a personal level yields higher efficiencies and enhances crucial dialogue, and so offer on-site Site Management and Supervision as part of our service.

As the law around Construction Design Management has changed, we find more and more that our clients rely on our expertise to ensure that their sites and the projects on them are being conducted safely, in accordance with legislation. We offer management of the appropriate Health & Safety files, fire safety and strategy guidance, along with a myriad of other considerations required for legal safe conduct.

Our expertise extends into the world of Risk Management, Mitigation and Process Safety – we engage as the technical representative to conduct Hazard Operational Studies (HAZOP), Layer of Protection Analysis Studies (LOPA), and engage safety reviews with a failure analysis lens. Conducting safety reviews in DSEAR/ATEX environments, as well as corrosive and toxic pharmacology, we represent our client to ensure that their systems remain safe.

Acting on behalf of our clients, we are trusted to conduct competitive tender processes as part of our standard operation. This extends to producing the appropriate tender documentation, conducting reviews with multiple contractors, and producing vetting scorecards to ensure that our clients have the best possible solution that exists in the market at an appropriate and competitive price point.

Either engaging wholly as a Project Planner role for larger projects or managing live and baselined programs as part of our project delivery, our team are literate in the provision of practical and sensible plans.

We have engaged with AutoDesk directly to work on the AutoCAD Construction Cloud, with automated physical backups for disaster recovery. We are able to coordinate with suppliers, contractors and manufacturers on your behalf and send information directly to them in order to enhance collaboration of projects and streamline the construction process, without unnecessary additional involvement.
